20 Pin Gold Plated SIL Socket

11mm long square profile (0.635 square) wire wrap type through hole pins.

Wires could be soldered directly to pins if necessary.

0.1 inch (2.54mm) Pitch.

Each of the 20 SIL sockets has a double sprung contact to ensure a good connection with the incoming pin.

Date coded 8441. 

These came to us as part of a surplus lot of components from a large ‘milspec’ type component manufacturer.

Stored with us still in their original packaging – see photographs and manufactures label above, they are as new and will work perfectly, you will receive your order carefully re-packed.

Length between the 2 outer pins 49mm.

A recent customer asked if these connectors would mate one with another, i.e. the row of wire wrap pins of one, plugged into the socket row of another, the answer is yes, the pins penetrate to approx 5mm and are ‘gripped’ by the socket to make a good connection, see last 2 photographs. His application was to wire wrap connect to one of our connectors and then use that to connect to a wire wrap plug on a PCB, leaving the existing plug on his PCB unchanged so when our connector is unplugged the PCB remains as it was manufactured.
